Dr. Chandrashekar Ashtekar has done his specialization in the field of diabetes. Dr. Ashtekar has conducted several diabetes awareness programs in order to educate people about the disease as well as the newer developments in the treatment of diabetes. He has especially highlighted the adverse effects of obesity that finally leads to diabetes and how this can be prevented at an early stage.

His social work includes free health camps that he has organised. He has attended many conferences at national and international level. He has also appeared on a popular television show ‘Hello Doctor’ aired on Sahyadri channel, where he has answered people’s queries on diabetes.

Since its inception in 2001, Latur Diabetes & Obesity Centre renders highest quality care with personalized approach towards patients with the prime motto of defeating Diabetes; improving individual health & quality of life.
